Apple's "California Streaming" Event wrap up

In another much-anticipated launch, Apple unveiled a trifecta of new devices including the new Apple iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple iPad!

Let's take a quick closer look at what they have released.

Apple iPhone 13

iPhone 13 is the fifteenth generation of the successful smartphone since the original launch in 2007 and features a similar look to the 2020 release, the iPhone 12. There will be four models of the iPhone 13: iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, following the same model plan as the 12 last year.

The Notch at the top of the screen, which features the front cameras and sensors is reduced in size by 20%. Apple iPhone 13 will feature an all-new processor, the A15 Bionic which is the brains and heart of the device and was quoted this morning in the virtual launch as been 50 per cent faster than the competition.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is excited about the iPhone 13 and quoted it as, These are the best iPhones we've ever created

Pre Sales for the new iPhone 13 are now set for the 17th of September and the first deliveries are set for the 24th of September.

Apple iPad Mini

iPad is the dominant device in the tablet market, and without question, the entry-level iPad helps with a sub $500 price point making it the perfect computer replacement for those doing basic email or web browsing.

We have reliance in the 21st century on video calling and Zoom meetings so it is unsurprising that the new iPad Mini features a better front camera, with a 12MP sensor and 122-degree field of view.

Its first redesign since launching in 2012, the iPad mini now features a much larger 8.3-inch screen with a square edge design which started on the iPad Pro some years ago and now appears on the iPad Air and iPhone models.

The iPad Mini is using the new A15 bionic processor which will give users a significant boost of up to 80% in performance and features 5G connectivity.

Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said: "With its ultra-portable design and wide range of uses from everyday tasks to creative and enterprise applications, there's nothing else like iPad mini."

Apple Watch

Despite rumours, it would change there is no radical overall design change to the style of the Apple Watch.  This new generation Apple Watch features an all-new screen design that pushes the actual digital screen further toward the edges, allowing for larger touch buttons on screens as well as a full keyboard option when composing text.

Health and fitness are still at the core of Apple's approach to the smartwatch market, with the heart rate, blood oxygen and ECG features which have been the industry leading in many ways. The Apple watch will boost new fitness features for cycling, including fall detection and on-road off-road features.

The Apple Watch screen is 70% brighter and bigger than ever at 44mm, which is far from the original 38 and 42mm sizes.
